Golf Resolutions

Everyone has goals they set about trying to achieve each new year. Herewith, the resolutions of a golfer:

Different strokes. Golf is made up of two games -- striking the ball and scoring. Manuel de la Torre, the legendary instructor and long-time golf pro at Milwaukee Country Club, once told me, "Swinging the golf club is easy. Scoring is hard." Last year, I probably played the best tee-to-green golf of my life ... and had my second-worst year on the greens. Therefore, I will attempt to spend nearly as much practice time on the putting green as on the range. A good putter is a match for anyone. A poor putter is a match for no one.
